Length given is hull length (21.5 ft); 23.83 ft includes the rudder. Draft 5.0 ft keel down, 2.0 ft keel up. A fixed-keel version (3.5 ft draft, 2,490 lb) came in the early 1970s; a 'New Design' in 1986 (optional wing keel), Mark II in 1995, and the Catalina 22 Sport in 2003. Builder history: hull 5,000 in 1975, 10,000 in 1980, 15,000 in 1990. Outboard of about 5-7 hp recommended.
